Welcome to Maine Villa Cattery - Maine Coons, a small, family-owned breeder of CFA Registered Maine Coon cats located in the Wadsworth, Ohio area, just outside of Akron. As a dedicated breeder, I, Chris Cotton, am passionate about preserving the unique characteristics and charm of this beloved breed. My goal is to produce healthy, well-socialized kittens with the signature Maine Coon features, such as their distinctive long coats, playful personalities, and intelligence.
At Maine Villa Cattery, we're committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our feline friends. Our breeding program is focused on maintaining the breed standard while also prioritizing the health and well-being of each kitten. We take the time to get to know each of our kittens, and we work hard to ensure they're well-adjusted and ready to thrive in their new homes. Whether you're a seasoned cat lover or just looking to add a new furry friend to your family, I invite you to explore our website and learn more about our available kittens, our breeding philosophy, and the joy of sharing your life with a Maine Coon cat.
My Story .....
As a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with patients from various fields, including:
Dialysis: Providing life-sustaining care to patients with end-stage renal disease, requiring careful monitoring and management of their treatment.Oncology: Supporting patients with cancer, navigating their complex care needs, and promoting holistic well-being.
Intensive Care: Working with critically ill patients, requiring precise and immediate interventions to stabilize their condition.
Emergency Department: Responding to emergency situations, making quick decisions, and providing urgent care to patients with acute injuries or illnesses.
In addition to my clinical experience, I have also held administrative positions, which has allowed me to develop valuable leadership and management skills. I pursued higher academic certifications and degrees while balancing my administrative responsibilities.
I had a variety set of hobbies and interests during that time period. I also was a Division 1 college wrestler and held a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and competed to a national ranking. I found time for self-improvement and pursued my passion in martial arts.
I also developed a love for cats, particularly the Maine Coon breed. Known for their gentle giant reputation, Maine Coons are indeed a unique and lovable breed. I knew I had to educate myself on the breed and eventually brought one into my life. And have been a breeder of Maine Coons since 2008.
