    “Adoption Contract”

1. Breeder affirms that the Kitten/Cat adopted is a purebred Maine Coon with an accurate Pedigree and can be registered with the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA)
2. Maine Coon Kitten ___ Cat ___ is sold/adopted as a Pet ___ Breeder ___ Show ___
3. Pet Kittens cannot be showed in CFA or TICA unless Consented.    Yes  __   or     No __
4. Health Guarantee and Conditions

• Pet Kittens are Expected-Mandated to be Spayed or Neutered within 1^st year of life. If they are not- the breeder has a right to enforce a monetary penalty of $2,500
• Kitten/Cat is in Good Health
• Kitten/Cat ancestors – Parents or Grand Parents or Great Grand Parents were tested via cytology & found negative for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Mutation (HCM) thus, negative by proxy by their ancestors
• The Kitten/Cat has received a Vaccination (Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis, Calici, chlamydia) and has been wormed with Pyrantel and Panacur - Record provided
• A Veterinarian must evaluate the Kitten/Cat within 72 hours from the date purchased. If any issues or concerns are found by the Vet, they need to be reported to the breeder in order to honor the contract.
• Only in the 1^st year of life, of a Kitten will a REPLACEMENT KITTEN be granted if that kitten is diagnosed with a detrimental disease and dies within that year
• Any shipping cost, Veterinarian Expenses or other Financial Expenses WILL NOT BE REFUNDED
• The Breeder has the right to request a 2^nd opinion from another Veterinarian of their choosing and their own expense
• Deposits for Reservations of Kitten/Cat are NON-REFUNDABLE
• Breeder Requests that each Kitten/Cat have a yearly Veterinarian evaluation, Vaccination and Dental cleaning if needed
• The Kitten/Cat will not be declawed
• Diet the Breeder uses is IAMS Kitten Formula. If a change in Diet is done by the new owner, it must be done at a slow gradual process in order to prevent complications
• When the Kitten/Cat is received by the buyer, then the cat is the Responsibility of the Buyer. The Buyer agrees from this point in time to indemnify the seller from any claims directly or indirectly involving the Kitten/Cat, regardless of the nature of the claim. In the event of any claim or dispute the jurisdiction will be in Medina County – Ohio
• Note: Even though, we make every attempt possible to socialize every kitten at the cattery, we cannot guarantee their temperament or behavior. Every environment is different; therefore, attempts are made to ascertain all considerations when placing/adoption of a Kitten/Cat from Maine Villa Cattery
• If any issues or concerns do arise, everything in this contract is between the owner and the breeder – nothing can be placed on social media concerning this matter

1. If a Kitten is bought as a Show/Breeder the Cattery hopes that the Kitten/Cat would be able to become a Champion according to the CFA Breed Standard
2. If a Kitten is purchased with the intent of Breeding and an agreement from the breeder/buyer is made to obtain a kitten back, the kitten must be obtained with in ____ years or an additional charge of $ _____ will be assigned and billed. This kitten will be CFA Registered Breeder Show Quality
3. A Breeding Cat is assumed fertile and will considered as such if he sires or dam produces a litter of 1 or 2 living kittens
4. If a cat is proven to be infertile and was purchased as a breeder- No Veterinarian Expenses will be refunded. Only a kitten replacement will be granted and negotiated
5. If a Kitten is brought as a Breeder the 1^st Generation is Restricted. Only pets would be sold. The new owner/breeder can keep 1^st Generation Kittens as his/her own breeder stock
